Learn the fundamental concepts and topics associated with being a graphic designer by exploring elements like color, typography, layout, and composition. Pick up the basics of standard production tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as complete hands-on assignments in online tools like Canva. 

Upon completion, you will have an opportunity for an optional unpaid internship with a small business.

Course Outline:

  • 4-5 hours per week of self paced modules
  • Up to 2 hours of live success program session
  • Showcase on the last week of the program where you will present the project you’ve completed in the course to a panel of industry experts and potential hiring managers

  • Basic platforms and functionality of: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva
  • A practical understanding of the creative process, layout and composition, typography and colour
